CEU Requirements

Continuing Education Requirements:

The National CASA Association along with the Nebraska CASA standards require each volunteer to complete 12 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) yearly. There are several FREE conferences that are offered to fulfill this requirement. The CASA office will notify you through e-mail, postal mail and the monthly Newsletter. In addition to CASA sponsored opportunities non- CASA training is also acceptable.

To receive credit, for CASA sponsored/ advertised events will require your signature on the attendance sheet and to fill out the CEU form.

To receive credit for non-CASA sponsored education you need to:

• Complete all questions on the CEU Form
• Attach a copy of attendance documentation (for example, training certificate, signed flyer, agenda)
• Submit the completed information and attachments to the CASA office
• Contact the CASA office for prior approval if relevancy is questioned
